"Welcome To My Blog"

  • Avery Holloman

  • I was born and raised in Plant City but currently I live in Tampa.

  • My major is Information Technology with Concentration in Data Science

  • My true talent is drawing, I received a partial scholarship in high school to travel to Columbia College of Chicago, where I received college credits in computer animation.
  •
  • Another one of my hobbies is car audio installations, When I was in high school, I removed the whole back seat of my Toyota Corolla and created a custom box with four 15 inch subwoofers in my small Toyota Corolla. The music was so loud that I cracked my front windshield when I barely turned up the volume.

  • Before I transferred to USF, I was the undefeated champion in chess at H.C.C. Ybor for 3 years. I play chess every day but my goal is to play Magnus Carlsen(world champion) after graduation, when I have some free time.

  • I have been working in customer service call center all my life and I was recently promoted to supervisor.

  • What's your favorite social media service and why? If you don't use social media tell us about that.
  • I used to be addicted to Facebook, but I noticed that the majority of my time, I was unconsciously thinking about what post would get me the most "likes". Or I was scrolling thru people's pages looking for "love" but when I message that person, they either ignored my message or reposted my message making fun of me. Plus, my ex-girlfriends were stalking me.

  • My previous class Adv Stats & Analytics with Dr. Friedman he required us to create homework assignments as blog. Here is a link: https://bar160361780.wordpress.com

  • What is your experience with using (reading) blogs?
  • My previous class in Fall 2021 Adv Stats & Analytics and Visual Analytics where I could copy and paste my statistical analysis of code and visualizations.

  • What do you like or dislike about using blogs?
  • I wish some bloggers websites allow more flexibility in adding more graphical visualizations... For example, an animation video background that I could insert or be compatible with R Studio.
