The three major functions of social media are to provide information, persuade, and establish trusting relationships. In social media, information material establishes credibility because once you share problematic stuff, everything you've posted before and anything you'll post in the future will be suspect. Because digital firms utilize social media analytics tools to track and analyze their consumers' involvement with their content, social media analytics are employed in relation to social media networks. These technologies can track both positive and negative sentiment based on the number of times a piece of information is seen or shared.

Because they grew up before the internet, and many of them are scared by computers and the internet, older members of society are less likely to utilize social media. While asynchronous communications do not require waiting for a response, synchronous execution does. Synchronous execution requires parties or components to work in real time at the same time.

Synchronous means that the sender will not transmit another message until the receiver responds.

Asynchronous communication is one-way communication in which the flow of information is one-way only.

You acquire their trust and loyalty as you create relationships through social networking and content credibility, and this may impact customers when making purchasing decisions.
